It's 2007, hurrays or boos?! Well as this year moves forward there will be a launch of a new OS. Most people know it's the coming of Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 and many new versions of certain softwares. In my opinion, Vista is bringing a new type of interface to users including the office tools itself. So what is so good bout Vista that we should switch from Windows XP. I'll find out soon enough :P
Other than that, games are moving to a higher level, thus each gaming PC from last year would need to be upgraded in terms of graphic card to fit the minimum requirements of a game. Most PC games that are launching this year might require the use of Direct x 10 supported graphic cards. And not to forget RAM plays an important role too. Even my own PC cant support Neverwinter Nights 2, I have x550 ATI as my graphic card only. I'm no pro gamer nor am I a strong gamer so I'll stick to this card till yr 2008 :P.
I'll be looking forward to the technology trend this year. For now, mobile technology is the trend, developing software for it is a big challenge in terms of security and memory. With better mobile phones, PDA's, and other mobile technology being launched this year, the software industry for these hardware would be interesting. Many new software will be required to make one phone better than the other. Other than hardware, the software shows how good a function of a mobile phone. Picture editing in hand phones are getting advanced, will we see photoshop mobile? Maybe someday :P
Hopefully this year, the technology being launched will have a big difference from last year's.
As we all know Squaresoft which is now Square Enix is the company who made a change to RPGs. Final Fantasy is one of the best rpgs in this world. It's not about the graphics only, not to forget the wonderful storylines for each game. So what's new now? Final fantasy XII, with wonderful graphic, pretty characters, a different battle system. What captures the gamers to play their game? I would like to know because I'm still mesmerised by their games.
For many years, square enix produced good FF games, be it at PS1, PS2, GBA, NDS. For console who has less powerful graphics to be displayed still didn't matter to the gamers. It has still captured people in spending hours after hours playing it. The commitment is your time, I would say a minimum of 40hrs, your determination in finishing the game, your hard work of collecting equipment and items. Some of us would spend much time in leveling characters to beat a certain boss.
One element that is important for these games is they all have great soundtracks. Wonderful music which accompanies each chapter, each new area and each new story scene. I just wish I have a PS2 so I could play Final Fantasy XII, maybe I could borrow it from my friends, LOL. Currently I am play Final Fantasy III on my NDSL, it has the same gaming system like FF7 which is one of the best FF games ever. Though the NDSL is not so powerful in the graphics aspect, there is 3D in the game still. What is good about FF3 for NDS is that there is a new job system, which your characters can change jobs to suite the party. The total of jobs available are 22 jobs. Too many to go into details.
Many will be looking forward on Final Fantasy on the PS3, it will definitely have better graphic compared to FF12 because of the power of PS3.Below are 2 of the FFsongs, one is from FFX2 and another is aerith's theme in FF7
Today I went to a game shop in Cineleisure Mall in Mutiara Damansara. The shop is called Gamer's Hideout, very nicely renovated, filled with 6-8 xbox 360 that has a LCD panel along with it. The owner manage to get a Nintendo Wii for display purposes. So my friend and I who knows one of the owners got to test the Wii sports and Zelda game.
I only stood there and watch of course. I so do not want to humiliate myself in front of a crowd :P. Wii sports definitely looks good to play, you can be stuck in front of the game for few hours. There is tennis, boxing,golf,baseball, and bowling. I like the tennis game and baseball the most. One thing bout these games is you need space because there is alot of swinging and my friend looked funny swing that remote here and there.
For Zelda, I have yet to see the swinging of the sword. This is because the 1st 30mins is like tutorial and there isn't much movement in the storyline yet, Zelda is still in the village and 1st thing to do is to look for his horse. The graphic is not so intriguing compared to ps3 graphics. Wii definitely attracts a different crowd, for people who want beautiful graphics they would aim for a ps3, for interactive gameplay go for Wii.

Wow!! Vox is so nice, I'm not switching here coz this will be different.I will be blogging about objects such as phones, consoles, books. I will be writing review on movies too. Just a blog to improve my english. Anyway I'm fascinated by what vox.com has to offer. Much items can be inserted in a post such as videos, audio which blogspot does not offer unless we edit the html part of the post.
Vox.com gives a better blogging interface. Simple and very nice designed icons. I will try to blog as often as possible on technologies and games. Currently I'm am very fond of consoles. I own one portable console which is the nintendo Ds lite. This console has been out on the market since the start of this year, and it is very popular in Japan. Even though the graphic is not as good as a PSP, it has better game play in sense of the design of the game. How a game is played is different that a PSP because this console has a touch screen and most games utilises it quite well.
Games such as Elite Beat Agents require only the use of your stylus and of coz your skill in following beats. Osu Tatake Ouendan is the Japanese version of the game, it has a different variety of songs, of coz it's japanese songs. The story of the game is also different. Sometimes it doesn't mean if you play the jap version of a game, the eng is the same. This game is surprisingly different for both versions.
Nintendo DS integrates the concept of interactive game play. We are able to notice in Nintendo Wii Revolution that interactivity in gaming is high. Nintendo has definitely made a change in the gaming industry and Wii does attract many in the style of the games. Let's get a Nintendo Wii? I want a PS3 too coz it's different from Wii.
