Two weeks back, Reza, Sean and I took a day trip to Birmingham. We were supposed to depart at 10am but as usual lazed till 11am before we left. The weather was pleasant that day - clear blue skies.
Took this picture at the pond near the rail-way station.
We took the train there. Cost about £5. Nice ride, took about an hour to reach. Reza enjoying his Coke Zero.
This picture was taken directly outside the train station. Birmingham was buzzing with life. There was a sea of people everywhere. I literally felt like a little sardine as I squeezed my way through the crowd trying to navigate the busy streets.
Huge shopping mall. Can't remember the name though.
This is an ancient looking church, located in the middle of town. The architecture is beautiful; as you can see its covered with intricately carved designs.
This is where we did our shopping. It's a super duper clean version of the typical M'sian morning market. The floor is so clean that you can actually sleep on it.
I love Birmingham's architecture. Even their cafes look futuristic.
We spent half our day there and returned at about 6pm. Bought loads of groceries, stuff that we cant get at Stafford, like dried chillies, maggie, kimchi, and beehun. It was a good trip. But i think i still prefer Manchester, Birmingham is way too crowded. Okey, gotta get back to work :(
Note: I've uploaded the photos taken during diversity week.
