While surfing the web, I came across something so hilarious yet dark and plausible enough to give me weird chills. Ever wondered where Google brainstormed? I first thought in some Fort-Knox like facility with guards and tanks surrounding the vicinity. Tanks and biometric scanners aren’t too far fetched as it's Google! They've got all the money in the world and their ideas generate billions.
Surprise, surprise. Google actually does their planning on a long white board with colored marker pens! That is as low tech as you could get. However, it is not the tools which matter but the artists. Most of these ideas are things only children would come up with, I guess as long as it's imaginable, anything's possible. Some may come off as a little absurd but don’t forget that when Larry and Sergey were developing Google, no one expected them to succeed.
Here's the link! Some of my favourite ones:
SAN FRANCISCO — The founders of YouTube Inc. built this year's standout Web phenomenon by figuring out how to make online video sharing easier than ever.
What they hadn't yet figured out was making money from their site. Google Inc. took that problem off their hands Monday, by agreeing to buy the site for $1.65 billion.
The all-stock deal makes YouTube by far the most expensive purchase made by Google during its eight-year history. Last year, Google spent $130.5 million buying a total of 15 small companies.
Although some cynics have questioned YouTube's staying power, Google is betting that the popular video-sharing site will provide it an increasingly lucrative marketing hub as more viewers and advertisers migrate from television to the Internet.

Google has just bought Youtube for 1.65billion! The first thing that came to mind was that..."Eek? good decision ah? Don't they have Google Video liao?"
Well, thier stock just rose 6 billion dollars since this acquisition. Siao right?! Man, financial analysts are geniuses.
Chad and Steven must be the happiest 20 somethings ever! They can now afford to buy a nice house beside the beach (Heck! why not the whole estate?!) and a few private jets.
I've never really digged YouTube, Im a quiet fan of conventional TV. The only time I used YouTube was to catch up on some old Justice League episodes. Is online TV the next big thing? Only time will tell...
